Finance Assistant

This is a great opportunity for a motivated and eager individual to join our small finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller. Working with numerous companies and management within the group, organisation and the ability to prioritise workload are key. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience. Whilst it is envisaged that this is a full time role we would consider other flexible or part time arrangements for the right candidate. Our usual working hours being 9.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Without doubt this role and responsibilities will expand in line with company growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting of supplier purchase invoices/expenses onto the accounting system (TAS Books)
  • Management of all supplier queries, reconciliations, payments & filing
  • Create and process all sales invoices and manage credit control
  • Cash book postings and reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of box office/venue income
  • Management of venue artist’s payments/reconciliations
  • Nominal journals
  • Assisting with Management Accounts production

Internships at the St. James

From time to time, and connected to special projects and events, we are happy to offer internship placements for a maximum of 3 months to those aged 18+ to experience a busy theatre environment. You must be a student or graduate of a relevant further education course connected to one of the following departments:

  • Press and PR
  • Marketing
  • Business Development/Partnerships/Sponsorship
  • Production Management/Producing
  • Theatre Administration
  • Design (programmes, posters, etc)
  • Event Planning and Management

Please note that these are voluntary unpaid opportunities however travel expenses within the Greater London area will be reimbursed.
