10th of December - 16th of December 2012
To celebrate the Bi Centenary of Charles Dickens, a special opportunity for St. James’s audiences to see one of the UK’s leading stage actors Clive Francis reprise his acclaimed RSC performance and return to the role of the misanthropic Ebenezer Scrooge for the first time in London since Ian Judge’s legendary production at the Barbican in 1996. In this unique one man adaptation of the Dicken’s classic - Clive Francis reenacts this festive tale while playing every notable character in the story, captivating the audiences attention with words penned by Dickens himself in a haunting, moving and brilliantly entertaining performance. A very special event for the festive season devised especially for the intimate surroundings of the Studio at the St James Theatre. A Christmas show for all ages and humbug to those who say otherwise!
