An evening with the award winning Jazz pianist Jason Rebello. The Beatles ‘Blackbird’, Schubert, Art Tatum, Errol Garner and Jason’s original compositions interspersed with chat about his touring and recording days with Sting, Jeff Beck, Ronnie Corbett, Madeline Peyroux.
In the late 1980′s at the age of 19, classically-trained Jason Rebello emerged as a Jazz pianist Influenced by Herbie Hancock and McCoy Tyner. His debut recording in his early 20′s, was produced by Wayne Shorter with whom he later toured. In 1998 for 12 years, Rebello joined Sting and blues-rock guitar legend Jeff Beck touring and recording Grammy winning albums.
Rebello has crossed musical genres performing, composing and recording with Laura Mvula (12 years A Slave soundtrack), Chaka Khan, Mica Paris, Carleen Anderson, Manu Katché, Ronnie Corbett, Madeline Peyroux, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel. On May 7th Rebello shares his experiences and performs music from The Beatles, Schubert, Art Tatum, Errol Garner and his own compositions that have shaped his career.
