Sam Harrison: Blame It On My Youth
With Musical Director Tom Brady
Harrison and Brady try to clear a path through the messiness of growing up whilst clutching the American songbook, 80s pop and some Sondheim with joy, tenderness and a wry smile.
From the novelty of being the first ballet-dancing son of an Australian rugby-playing dynasty, to heart-stopping stolen glances in the Musée d’Orsay via the unique challenges of being a foreigner in London, Blame It On My Youth embraces the music of such varied composers as Irving Berlin, William Finn, Tim Minchin and John Mayer in an attempt to hold back the tide of adulthood.
“[An] effortlessly beautiful voice … He sings with such honesty and conviction that you can’t help but want to hear more of him.” Official Theatre
