Speaking Shakespeare Masterclass with Robert Hands

19 July 2014

The Acting Network brings you an intensive workshop focusing on speaking Shakespeare with clarity and ease.

Participants will work on a speech of their choice in a technical manner with the emphasis on finding the truth and simplicity of Shakespeare’s language.

Participants, please download The Acting Network Welcome Pack and send to The Acting Network before your masterclass.

Observers will be able to follow the participants progress, pick up techniques and take part in Q & A’s.

We are absolutely delighted to have Robert Hands joining us to share his knowledge on Speaking Shakespeare. Robert is a member of Ed Hall’s award winning all male Shakespeare ensemble, “Propeller”. He has worked extensively in the West End, at the National Theatre and in New York as a leading performer, including Algernon in “The Importance of Being Earnest” at The Old Vic, Brave Sir Robin in the original London cast of “Spamalot” at the Palace Theatre and Helena in Ed Hall’s hugely successful production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Harold Pinter Theatre . He has appeared in countless tv shows and films including most recently playing a transvestite in the yet to be released” Eliza Graves” alongside Kate Beckinsale,Michael Caine and Sir Ben Kingsley for Millennium Films.

Please note: Due to the nature of employing working actors, the workshop leaders may be subject to change at any time. We will always replace them with someone of equal ability and you will be offered the opportunity to transfer to an alternative workshop if space allows.

Participation is restricted to those age 16+. Observers must be over 14 years old, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
