The School of Night

4- 5 May 2013
Part of St. James Studio Cabaret Weekends

In the shadow of Buckingham Palace, from the ashes of the old Westminster Theatre the new St James Theatre arises.

It is no coincidence that the pub next door is called The Phoenix.

Award-winning disciples of theatre maverick Ken Campbell, members of the School use their unique blend of literary and Shakespearean extemporisation to make up poems, songs and dramas on the spot inspired by audience suggestions.

From Sophocles to Sondheim and beyond!

Warning: some of it may be moving!

The School has played The Royal Court, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, The Old Vic Tunnels, The Drill Hall, Latitude Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Hay Literary Festival, as well as international tours, appearances on Radio 3 and even a gathering in the late Jeremy Beadle’s library!

‘Uproarious, intelligent, laugh-a-minute fare’ * * * * The Telegraph
