Frances Ruffelleʼs last solo show in New York was named one of Playbillʼs
Unforgettable Theatre Experiences of 2013. Now the Tony Award winning
actress will perform her critically acclaimed, sell out solo show Paris
Original in London at the St James Studio.
Frances is well known for creating the role of iconic waif Eponine in the
original London and Broadway casts of Les Misérablesand for her many
West End appearances but also for her outrageously playful and
emotionally heartfelt solo shows. Recently, Frances received a UK Theatre
Award nomination for Best Actress when she portrayed the eponymous title role in Pam Gemʼs Piaf.
Come and discover the charms of the city of light and be seduced by the
delightful Miss Ruffelle as she brings a Frenc-accented twist to her latest
zestful and feminine performance celebrating all things ʻooh la laʼwith
music from Francoise Hardy to Edith Piaf, Francis Lai to Claude Michel
Schonberg. New to the show for the St. James and as an added bonus for
Les Misérablesfans, Frances will sing Schonbergʼs original, beautiful song
written for Eponine and cut from the show that played such a special part in
her career.
Guests will be Eliza Doolittle (1st Oct), Sabrina Aloueche (2nd) and Helen Woolf (3rd).
