In the last year jazz songwriter, vocalist and pianist Theo Jackson has appeared on national television, given talks at schools and universities and performed throughout the UK and further afield, consumed by his burning desire to take over the world through the medium of jazz. This preview of “Gentlemen of Jazz” presents Theo’s interpretation of well-loved songs from Nat King Cole, Chet Baker and Mel Torme and, with his homage to the legendary jazz vocalist Jon Hendricks, introduces Theo as a true improvising jazz vocalist.
