Invade My Privacy

Running Time: 1 hour 50 minutes approx with an interval

Hot on the heels of their sell out show in September Howard Samuels and Lucy Dixon are delighted to return to the St James Studio with a christmas cracker of a cabaret devoted to the genius that was, and is Fran Landesman- beat poet, songwriter and lifelong bohemian. She had been asked out for tea by an admiring Bette Davis and has been labelled ‘..one of my heroes’ by Tom Waits. Her work combines pathos and humour and glows with the tough wisdom gleaned from a lifetime of riding in fast convertibles and hanging out in smoky bars.

Invade my Privacy will include some of Fran’s unique and irreverent thoughts on the festive season. Who else would write a letter to Santa with the chorus ” You can’t throw consumptives out at Christmas!”?

Book early to avoid disappointment…..cabaret will never be the same…neither will Christmas!!!

‘Sexy, sleazy, sizzling, sorrowful and fabulous to witness….this review comes with a strong recommendation to catch this show’ Musical Theatre Review, July 2014
