Make The Cut

Running Time: 2 Hours 20 Minutes including interval

Make the Cut is the hottest new competition for actors and writers, produced by Director’s Cut Theatre Company.

Some of the UK’s most talented emerging artists are selected to compete in front of a voting audience and an industry panel. In a hope to make the cut, writers submit their work and the top monologues are shortlisted for the competition. After a first round of auditions, actors are chosen to go head to head, performing the monologues in a series of rounds, in which the winning actor and writer is chosen.

Supporting rising talent in moving forward with their careers, the winning prizes include equity membership for actors, the UK’s trade union for professional performers, and one-to-one script development sessions for the writers, on any script of their choice, with Heather Ward, the Artistic Director & Producer of Director’s Cut Theatre Company.

A competition like no other. The question is – who will Make the Cut?

‘Such a fantastic event to have been created, really enjoyable evening.’ Judge – Independent Talent Agency

‘Brilliantly organised and a great idea!’ Judge – Curtis Brown Literary Agent
