The Music of Katie and Alex

Katie Lam (lyrics and book) and Alex Parker (music) have been writing songs and shows together since they were placed next to each other in the Class 4 seating plan when they were eight years old. Their work has become (a bit) more sophisticated since then, looking to evoke the classic feel of the musicals they grew up falling in love with.

Join them for an evening of numbers from their first two shows - Amateur Dramatics: A Musical Comedy and The Railway Children - along with a selection of specially commissioned pieces from the last few years. With direction by Alastair Knights (Putting it Together, Spitfire Grill, A Little Night Music), musical direction by Alex Parker and featuring Deborah Crowe, Jordan Lee Davies, Nadim Naaman, Jessamy Stoddart and Laura Tebbutt.
